I’m still processing being chosen as one of the

I’m still processing being chosen as one of the winners of the Women of the Future Fund by @ritaora and @shoedazzle.

My Senior year of HS ended abruptly this Spring. It was heartbreaking not to be able to celebrate with my friends. The culmination of HS that includes (performances, special events, prom and Commencement) was canceled. 😟

I wasn’t able to perform my last Spring Show with @dancetheatreofharlem after growing up in their dance studios.

While I tried to stay positive, I had to begin my freshman year of college virtually. I tried to make the best of it all and continued to plan and work on my dreams.

I didn’t expect anything when I applied. Thank you AnaLexicis @analexicisbridewell for sending me the application. This grant will allow me to pursue many of the goals I have for myself while in college. I am humbled and grateful and will continue to work hard towards my goals of creating art through dance and giving space for girls of color to share their accomplishments and to uplift one another.

What I have learned this year is to believe in yourself despite what is happening around you. Pursue your dreams even if it’s challenging and you’re not sure how it will turn out. Have faith!!! This is only the beginning. Thank you again @RitaOra 💖💖💖
